- Do not attempt to use "wildcard" symbols.
Searches are made from the first word or letters you enter.
- If the business name starts with "The," include it
in the search.
- Searches are not case-sensitive.
- The computer will search on exactly what you
put in. For example, "Quick Mart" will not get you "Quik Mart" or "Quickmart."
- The less information you put in, the more responses
you will get. Thus, "Quick Mart"
may get you two listings for Quick Mart. "Quick" by itself will get every record
that begins with the word "Quick," which may be dozens of responses.
- You must be sure of the spelling, punctuation, and
format of the business name - "A1" is not the same as "A 1" or "A-1" or "A-One."
- A search by last name with no first name entered will return all records that
start with the letters you entered for the last name. You can narrow the search by typing
in the last name and the first name (or portions thereof).
- To search by FBN file number, you must enter the entire seven digit file
number. The FBN file number always begins with the last 2 digits of the year it
was filed. For example, file number 9904567 was filed in 1999 while file number
0309458 was filed in 2003.
- To view details for a particular filing, CLICK ON THE FILE NUMBER.
- Searching by or obtaining ADDRESSES is not possible on-line. If you
need a business or owner address, please
